LONG TERM RESEARCH SITE IN AFRICA

BOSSOU is one of six long-term chimpanzee field sites in Africa, where observations of chimpanzees are still currently ongoing.

1

Wild chimpanzees of Bossou, Guinea
and surrounding areas (Mt. Nimba and Diecke)

We have been carrying out fieldwork on wild chimpanzees at Bossou, Guinea, since 1976. More recently, we have been conducting research in the classified forest of Diecke, Guinea and the Nimba Mountains both in Guinea and Cote d'Ivoire.
